Balcony Above or Adjacent to a Pool Barrier

A balcony located above or close to a swimming pool area may need to be considered as part of the overall pool barrier system.

The height and position of the balcony, balustrade and surrounding structures are important when determining whether they could provide access to the pool area or compromise the effectiveness of the barrier.
