Waterways Forming Part of a Pool Barrier
In some properties, a waterway or waterfront boundary may form part of the area surrounding a swimming pool. However, the presence of water does not automatically mean that an additional pool barrier is unnecessary.
The configuration of the pool area, surrounding land, retaining structures, access points and the relationship between the swimming pool and waterway must all be considered when determining whether the barrier arrangement meets the applicable pool safety requirements.
